MATT BOGART
Matt is an interdisciplinary artist (producer, director, writer, actor, singer, educator), Martin Scorsese directed Matt as Robert Goulet in HBO’s Vinyl. He starred in six Broadway shows opposite several Tony Award winners, worked with Stephen Sondheim in our famed Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and Kennedy Center venues, and played leads in major film & television productions, including the upcoming Jersey Boys Live (starring Nick Jonas), NBC’s The Good Fight, Law & Order, Smokey Joe’s Café, Jane Eyre, Mistake, and Stargazer.
Matt has co-produced and recorded a series of solo albums at Abbey Road Studios and in NYC, produced and starred in feature films, Off-Broadway, directed, written and composed plays, musicals, concerts, and cabarets.
He is a Lecturer at the University of Michigan in the School of Music, Theatre & Dance (SMTD) and a graduate student acquiring his MA in Interdisciplinary Music Studies from the Berklee College of Music.
His philosophy is to say, “yes” to everything, especially being in the room with great artists, believing art and storytelling connects us, demanding we live more consciously and mindfully. As an artist and teacher, he aims to awaken and unlock every artist’s potential in an equitable and graceful manner, and encourage healthy habits for a lasting career and a well-balanced life.
Matt Bogart splits his time between Ann Arbor, Michigan and NYC with my wife, Director and Professor Jessica Boevers Bogart, and their two boys.
