We can't stress enough how imperative it is to book your reservations for accommodations, airfare and car rentals as soon as possible. We recommend you make your reservations no later than February 1st, 2006, as Cape Cod reservations fill up fast, especially for 4th of July weekend.

RENTAL CARS ![]()
Rental Cars should be acquired at the airports. Consider booking your rental car simultaneous with your flight to save money, expecially if you're booking with Expedia.com or Travelocity.com. Also consider carpooling with other relatives to share rental car responsibility and expenses. Remember, a weekly car rental can often cost less than a 2 or 3 day rental, especially if they pro-rate your early return. Providence and Boston are approximately a 90 minute drive from Chatham, MA while Hyannis is approximately a 25 minute drive. WARNING!!! TRAFFIC! TRAFFIC! TRAFFIC! Traffic into Cape Cod can be very bad on Friday, June 30th late afternoon/early evening and terrible ,on Saturday morning. Consider arriving Thursday, Friday in the late evening, after 8 P.M., or Saturday after 2:00 P.M. to save yourself a headache.
NYC RENTAL CARS ![]()
If you are coming from NYC, rent a car NOW! If it is crazy expensive, consider taking the train and renting a car at the Stamford, CT train stop or another suburb. They will frequently let you return the car to NYC for no charge and it can be 1/3 of the cost. Remember, a weekly car rental can often cost less than a 2 or 3 day rental, especially if they pro-rate your early return.

DRIVING FROM NYC TO WEQUASSETT INN (275 miles):
Take 95 North to Providence, exit 20 to Route I95 East; this connects with 495 South/25 East. Take the second exit off 25 East for Route 6. When exiting at ramp, go three-quarters of the way around the rotary, following signs for Route 6 East. Traveling parallel to the Cape Cod Canal on your right, the road will merge into a second rotary, which brings you to the Sagamore Bridge. Exit rotary immediately first right, going over the bridge onto Route 6 East. Stay on Route 6 to exit 11. Turn left at the end of the exit ramp; go 25 yards to Pleasant Bay Road (your first left). Proceed to the second stop sign; the entrance to Wequassett Inn will be directly ahead.
DRIVING FROM PROVIDENCE AIRPORT TO WEQUASSETT INN (90 miles):
Take 95 North to Exit 20, Route 195 East. Follow 195 East to 495 South/25 East. Take the second exit off 25 East for Route 6. DRIVING FROM HYANNIS AIRPORT TO WEQUASSETT INN (19 miles):
When leaving the airport, enter the rotary following signs for Route 28 South. Follow Route 28 to your first set of lights and turn left onto Willow Street. Follow Willow street to Route 6 heading East towards Provincetown. Stay on Route 6 to exit 11. Turn left at the end of the ramp; go 25 yards to Pleasant Bay Road (your first left). Proceed to the second stop sign; the entrance to Wequassett Inn will be directly ahead.
BY TRAIN ![]()
Unfortunately, the closest Amtrak train stops are at the Providence, RI (PVD), Boston- South Station, MA (BOS) or the Boston-Route 128, MA (RTE) because there are no trains that go directly to Cape Cod.
